Welcome to FIGO's May newsletter.
We are all experiencing unprecedented times, and we know the drastic effect COVID-19 can have on the most vulnerable women and girls around the world. We will continue to update resources via our COVID Hub from our respected experts throughout our Committees and Working Groups, to help advise healthcare professionals on best practice for many women's health issues.
We are hosting a webinar on Wednesday 20th May, 3pm BST, highlighting guidance on Essential Women's Healthcare During COVID-19.
We also hear about the impact COVID-19 is having on some of our National Member Societies.
For International Day of the Midwife, we hear from Dr Zulu of our Zambia Member Society, and revisit the FIGO PPIUD project in Bangladesh and the importance of midwives in the success of the project.
